This luxurious, hand-tufted rug, made from high-quality New Zealand wool, translates the distinctive geography of the Swedish capital into an organic, contemporary composition. The motif consists of about twelve to fourteen irregular, island-like areas interspersed with broad, meandering bands of water. Instead of depicting a realistic city map, it creates a free cartographic interpretation of Stockholm's archipelago. A single, highly simplified archipelago ferry in the lower half of the image and a reduced bridge between two islands form the semi-abstract focal points. Soft water blue, muted fjord blue, sage and moss green, warm sand beige, and anthracite give the rug a calm Scandinavian appeal. The precise hand-tufting emphasizes the clear contours and creates a high-quality, subtly three-dimensional surface.

The design is inspired by Stockholm's geography: the city itself spans 14 islands, while a vast archipelago with over 30,000 islands and skerries opens up before it. This special landscape forms the basis for an organic, cartographic visual language. Wide water channels run through the composition as negative bands, while the islands are deliberately simplified and irregularly shaped. The small ferry and the single bridge anchor the abstraction in Stockholm's urban reality, without disrupting the calm, contemporary overall impression.

Care Instructions:
Vacuum regularly with a clean suction setting and without a rotating brush. Immediately blot spilled liquids gently with a clean, absorbent cloth; do not rub. Spot clean stains with a mild detergent suitable for wool rugs. Professional rug cleaning is recommended for thorough cleaning. A rug pad is recommended to reduce slipping and extend the life of the rug.
