Thoughtfully designed
Give your home a serene, earthy depth. This hand-knotted plain rug, crafted from high-quality New Zealand wool, combines understated design with an exceptionally vibrant surface. Muted forest, sage, and olive green tones merge into an elegant color field that exudes naturalness while appearing modern and sophisticated. The result is a rug that grounds rooms without visually weighing them down.
Its character is primarily revealed in its texture: densely set, finely looped wool piles and subtle horizontal tonal shifts create a gently undulating surface reminiscent of moss, weathered stone, or textile landscapes. Depending on the light, lighter grey-green reflections and deeper, almost anthracite-colored nuances emerge. The tranquil plain look thus gains depth and artisanal individuality. A narrow woven finish with color-matched fringes underlines the natural, authentic character of the design.
Key Features:
- Premium Material & Hand-knotting: Hand-knotted from high-quality New Zealand wool for a pleasant, tactile feel, natural resilience, and durable artisanal quality.
- Texture-based Plain Design: Instead of a classic pattern, material, knotting structure, and subtle tonal shifts define the design, giving the surface a modern, sophisticated calm.
- Nuanced Green Palette: Sage, moss, eucalyptus, and dark olive combine to form a multi-layered natural tone that shifts between soft, cool, and deep earthy depending on the light.
- Vibrant Surface Texture: The compact, slightly looped wool surface creates subtle light and shadow effects, giving the rug a tangible, handcrafted depth.
- Natural Fringe Finish: Color-matched fringes and the visible woven finish at the ends add a relaxed, authentic accent and emphasize the handcrafted character.
- Versatile Styling: Ideal for modern, minimalist, Japandi, Mid-Century, Organic Modern, and nature-inspired interiors, as well as rooms with wood, leather, stone, or warm metal accents.
Ideal for:
Living room • Bedroom • Dining area • Office / Home office • Library • Reception and lounge areas • Modern, Japandi & Organic Modern interiors
Care Instructions:
Regularly vacuum with a pure suction setting or a smooth floor nozzle and without a rotating brush. Immediately dab spilled liquids carefully with a clean, absorbent cloth; do not rub. Treat stains only locally with a mild cleaner suitable for wool rugs. For thorough cleaning, professional rug cleaning is recommended. A suitable rug pad can reduce slipping, improve comfort, and further protect the rug in daily use.
Important Note on Colors:
Depending on the screen, color profile, room lighting, and shooting situation, the actual green, grey, and olive nuances may differ slightly from the digital representation. New Zealand wool is a natural material; for hand-knotted rugs, subtle differences in pile, knotting structure, shading, and color gradient are part of the authentic artisanal character. These natural variations make each piece a unique item.
