Barcelona Axis – Hand-tufted designer rug

Bring Barcelona's modern architecture, Mediterranean tranquility, and graphic clarity into your home as a stylish design object. This luxurious, hand-tufted rug made from high-quality New Zealand wool interprets an architectural room composition with water basins, terraces, and geometric sightlines into an elegant textile design. The dense, pleasantly soft pile and balanced color palette make it a special eye-catcher for living rooms, bedrooms, offices, or prestigious reception areas.

The motif combines rectangular areas, linear pathways, stepped staircases, oval water shapes, and a central fountain into an architecturally ordered composition. The clear grid structure is reminiscent of modernist pavilion architecture and urban plaza design, while subtle details like a stylized light fixture and symmetrically arranged basins lend spatiality and character to the design. Ivory, sand, stone beige, sage green, olive, slate gray, and delicate aqua blue accents create a serene, modern, and Mediterranean elegance. The precise hand-tufting emphasizes contours, surfaces, and subtle height differences, giving the design a decorative, slightly three-dimensional surface.

Design Inspiration Barcelona Pavilion:

The design is inspired by Barcelona's modern architecture and garden culture, adopting the clear formal language of a modernist pavilion with terraces, reflecting pools, and axial order. Rectangular volumes, linear steps, and a central fountain create a calm, architectural visual language reminiscent of city squares, courtyards, and open pavilion spaces. This creates an urban portrait somewhere between Mid-Century Modern, contemporary architectural illustration, and Mediterranean minimalism.

Care Instructions:

Vacuum regularly with suction only and without a rotating brush. Blot spilled liquids immediately with a clean, absorbent cloth; do not rub. Spot clean stains with a mild detergent suitable for wool rugs. Professional carpet cleaning is recommended for a thorough cleaning. A rug pad is recommended to reduce slipping and extend the life of the rug.

Important Note on Colors:

Due to different screen settings, color calibrations, and lighting conditions, the actual color tones may vary slightly from the display on the screen. As wool is a natural material and each rug is handmade, slight differences in pile, structure, and color effect are natural characteristics and emphasize the individual character of each piece.
