Barcelona Rhythm – Hand-tufted designer rug

Bring Barcelona's creative lightness, Mediterranean warmth, and contemporary design culture into your home as a stylish statement. This luxurious, hand-tufted rug made from high-quality New Zealand wool interprets abstract circles, movement, and artisanal symbolism in a modern, artistic composition. The dense, comfortably soft pile and harmonious color scheme make it an exceptional eye-catcher for living rooms, bedrooms, offices, or prestigious reception areas.

The motif combines generous circular shapes, segmented arcs, and striking, open cut-outs to create a rhythmic visual language with a sculptural character. A central symbol of interlocking hands and a small shoe accent refer to craftsmanship, movement, dance, and community. Cream, ivory, sand, warm greige, terracotta, dusty blue, olive grey, and deep brown give the rug a calm, Mediterranean elegance. The precise hand-tufting emphasizes contours, surfaces, and subtly graduated height differences, creating a decorative, slightly three-dimensional surface.

Design Inspiration Barcelona Círculos:

The design is inspired by Barcelona's modern formal language, Mediterranean lifestyle, and a sense of movement, encounter, and creative craftsmanship. The recurring circular segments are reminiscent of graphic city patterns and architectural ornamentation, while the round cut-outs give the design a playful, almost sculptural quality. The motif of circularly arranged hands and the stylized shoe add subtle cultural associations of dance, craftsmanship, and urban vibrancy. This creates a design that sits between contemporary art, Mid-Century graphics, and modern Mediterranean aesthetics.

Care Instructions:

Vacuum regularly with a clean suction setting and without a rotating brush. Immediately blot spilled liquids carefully with a clean, absorbent cloth; do not rub. Treat stains locally with a mild cleaner suitable for wool rugs. Professional rug cleaning is recommended for thorough cleaning. A rug pad is recommended to reduce slipping and extend the life of the rug.

Important Note on Colors:

Due to different screen settings, color calibrations, and lighting conditions, the actual color tones may vary slightly from the display on the screen. As wool is a natural material and each rug is handmade, slight differences in pile, structure, and color effect are natural characteristics and emphasize the individual character of each piece.
